I’ve Been Quiet… Here’s Why

Hi friend,
It’s been a while.
You may have noticed I went quiet over the past year. And rather than pretend it didn’t happen, I want to honor it.
there were many moments over the past year when my inner critic had a lot to say about that.
“You should be more consistent.”
“You’re falling behind.”
“People will forget about you.”
Sound familiar?
I spent 2025 working on a Holistic Master Coach Certification.
The truth is, that experience asked me to live the work I teach in a deeper way than ever before.
Instead of pushing through, performing, or showing up from pressure — I chose to pause.
I chose to notice the parts of me that were exhausted, scared, and craving alignment.
I realized that befriending your inner critic isn’t about silencing it or conquering it. It’s about understanding what it’s protecting. It’s about creating safety inside yourself so you don’t have to constantly strive for worthiness.
Sometimes stepping back is what allows us to come back stronger and more aligned.

This past year, I’ve been:
Reading more books
Getting more sleep
Strengthening my body
Supporting clients in deeper work
Exploring the nervous system’s role in self-criticism
Redefining what success actually means for me
It hasn’t been flashy. It’s been challenging. Honest. Transformative.
And now, I’m returning — not from urgency, but from clarity.
If you’ve stayed on this list while I was quiet, thank you.
If you’ve been navigating your own inner critic lately, you are not behind. You are human.
In this next season, we’ll be going deeper into:
✨ Faith-based approaches to self-acceptance
✨ The nervous system + somatic practices
✨ Practical tools to soften harsh inner dialogue
✨ And how to build a relationship with yourself that feels steady, not conditional
If you’re new here — welcome. I’m Meredith, and I help highly self-critical women befriend their inner critic.
If you’re still here after my quiet season — thank you. Truly. Your presence matters.
And if your inner critic has been loud lately, this is your invitation to get curious instead of critical.
More soon.
With gratitude,
Meredith
P.S. If you feel called, reply and tell me: What has your inner critic been saying lately? I’d love to hear.
