Beginnings and Endings

My youngest daughter graduates from High School today.
I have 5 girls, and so I've had a daughter in public school since 1999, when my oldest started Kindergarten.
In a matter of months, I will be an empty nester.
After 26 years of predictable school routines, My brain thinks this "ending" could be a problem.

Sometimes I cry.
Sometimes I lose sleep.
Sometimes I overanalyze the unknown future.
Routines are generally comforting to our brain, but sometimes Nervous System road blocks interrupt those routines.
I haven't written or shared a Blog post in 4 months. Maybe you've noticed, it's okay if you haven't.
It felt like a good and necessary ending for my brain; I couldn't think of things to write about and sitting down to brainstorm ideas was torturous.
But unexpectedly, this week, the road opened up again.
For the past four months I've been getting to know my Nervous System. It's been a mixture of complete confusion, fascination and gentle patience.
Many things I thought I knew changed and the new understandings needed guidance and practice.
Beginnings and Endings are a natural part of Life, but it can take the Nervous System time to accept them.
If you are stuck on ANYTHING, it is likely linked to your Nervous System automatically reacting to that thing - without your awareness.
If you want to move forward on that THING, I have new tools available to me - for YOU - that will help you make the progress that you truly want and you can schedule a free session to talk about it HERE.
Understanding your Nervous System is the vehicle that removes the roadblocks and allows access to what your Beginnings and Endings have to teach you.
Accept where you are, and you'll likely move forward.
With love,
Meredith
